Title: IT Systems Engineering Manager Location: Orlando
Reports To: SVP, Software Engineering FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Description:
The IT Systems Engineering Manager leads the IT systems engineering team and is responsible for people leadership, delivery, and the technical quality of the company's Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint, and mobile device management systems. This role balances hands-on technical guidance with team development, planning, and stakeholder management across engineering, security, and business teams.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and grow a team of IT systems engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Own delivery of the team's roadmap for Azure infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and mobile device management.
  • Set and uphold standards for security, automation, documentation, and system reliability across the team.
  • Partner with engineering, security, and business leadership to align IT systems work with company priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance on Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, and mobile device management solutions.
  • Remove blockers and manage dependencies across teams.
  • Establish processes for change management, incident response, and support escalation.
  • Develop career paths and growth plans for team members.
  • Report on team delivery, system health, and security posture to leadership.
  • Own the leased hardware, rounding application, and monitoring program that supports client-facing devices.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in IT systems administration or infrastructure engineering, including experience leading or managing engineers.
  • Strong technical background administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID sufficient to guide design decisions and review work.
  • Experience managing enterprise Windows, macOS, and mobile device management environments such as Intune and IBM MaaS360.
  • Experience with planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a formal people management or team lead role.
  • Experience administering Slack or other SaaS collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in a healthcare or other regulated environment, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience overseeing managed hardware, patch management, and monitoring programs for external clients.
