  • Troubleshoot technical challenges encountered during implementations and migrations.
  • Work alongside Project Management, Managed Services, NOC, SOC , Presales, and other technical teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, technical concerns, and potential scope changes.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, project notes, configurations, and diagrams.
  • Track project time and progress accurately within the company's PSA/project management systems.
  • Test and validate completed solutions before production handoff.
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer and handoff to operational support teams following project completion.
  • Travel to client locations as required for onsite project implementations.
What We\'re Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience, preferably within an MSP, consulting, systems integration, or project-based environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and virtual server environments.
  • Experience performing infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to independently execute assigned technical projects and recognize when escalation is necessary.
  • Ability to read and work from Statements of Work, technical designs, implementation plans, and project documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations and occasionally perform scheduled after-hours project work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous MSP or IT consulting experience.
  • Experience participating in new-client IT onboardings and infrastructure transitions.
  • Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar enterprise networking technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, security, and endpoint management technologies.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Fortinet, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Benefits Include
  • Excellent benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Company paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan with matching company contribution
  • Paid training and certification opportunities
  • Annual company store allowance

A successful Project Engineer takes ownership of their technical assignments, arrives prepared for implementations, communicates issues before they become project delays, produces quality documentation, and delivers solutions that are stable, secure, and ready to transition to the teams responsible for ongoing client support.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between networking, servers, cloud technologies, client onboarding, and other infrastructure projects while maintaining a strong focus on quality, client experience, security, and successful project delivery.
