Job Description – IT Business Analyst

The IT Business Analyst will work closely with management, operations, and IT teams to analyze business processes, gather technical requirements, and implement system improvements across logistics, fleet management, safety, compliance, and financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing business processes and IT systems related to transportation, logistics, fleet management, safety, and compliance
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Act as a liaison between business users, software vendors, and internal IT teams
  • Support implementation and optimization of TMS, ELD, accounting, reporting, and ERP systems
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support management decision-making
  • Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities
  • Assist with data validation, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Prepare documentation, workflows, and training materials for end users
  • Ensure systems comply with regulatory, security, and data integrity standards
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
  • Strong understanding of business systems, databases, reporting tools, and system integrations
  • Experience working with ERP, TMS, CRM, ELD, or logistics-related systems is a strong asset
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights
