Job Summary:
Located in San Jose, CA, the Application Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical support for computer servers and workstations, working independently with sales, FAEs, service teams, and customers to resolve Super Micro product issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to motherboards, server systems, and PC peripherals through various communication channels (phone, email, and on-site visits).
  • Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software issues with precision and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical insights and support, ensuring a unified approach to customer service.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and technical demonstrations during on-site visits with the sales team.
  • Maintain and expand technical expertise by staying current on all new and existing product lines.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to handle, clarify, and resolve quality issues.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or CS, with 1+ years of professional experience (preferred).
  • At least 1+ year of hands-on end-user experience working with computer systems or servers - possibly in school, personal projects, or as part of a non-technical role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and deep expertise in computer architecture, including servers, workstations, and associated services.
  • Experienced in developing or deploying advanced scripts and applications for automation on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Ability to motivate and guide others while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Exceptional organizational and social skills to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
