Job description

AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and deep support. We dive deep to understand each customer's unique challenges, then craft innovative solutions that accelerate their success.

This customer-first approach is how we built the world's most adopted cloud. Join us and help us grow.
Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customer adoption. This is an excellent opportunity to join our world-class technical team, work alongside top engineers, architects, and technical leaders, and grow your career at one of the most innovative technology companies in the world.
As a Solutions Architect on the ISV team, you will help ISV customers build highly scalable, flexible, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures for the solutions they deliver to end customers

You will sit at the crossroads of business and technology, engaging with customers at every stage of their cloud adoption and expansion journey. Linking technology to measurable business value is central to this role, and we expect you to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
We are looking for someone broadly competent across many areas of technology and deep in a few. It's fine to be less deep in some areas - what matters is strong fundamentals and the ability to learn complex technologies quickly

You should be passionate about technology and have the drive to absorb and retain deep technical knowledge continuously.
On the business side, strong communication skills are essential. You will spend most of your day interacting with customers via email, phone, video, and in-person meetings - with audiences ranging from developers and team leads to engineering directors and CxOs. We need someone who can adjust tone and technical depth based on the audience, read non-verbal cues effectively, and pick up on unstated drivers behind decisions.
Key job responsibilities
Own the technical relationship with customers providing technical advocacy as they build and enhance their products on AWS
Participate in deep architectural and design discussions with customers to create world-class solutions built on AWS
Work with customers to understand their business needs and provide prescriptive guidance on how to leverage AWS technologies
Formulate and execute a strategy to drive adoption of AWS services within customer's platform
Author and contribute to technical publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts that highlight AWS.
Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals at our customer to enable them to be cloud advocates
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
Drive successful outcomes for both AWS and customers through technical enablement
