Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join their cybersecurity team. The role involves maintaining the security posture of information systems, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing risk through robust security measures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee system security assessments and respond to potential threats.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain system security plans (SSPs)
• Perform regular risk assessments and audits
• Monitor compliance with security policies and procedures
• Oversee system vulnerability management and remediation efforts
• Ensure adherence to security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, RMF)
• Collaborate with teams to address security incidents and findings
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI Full Poly (Please note this position requires full U.S. Citizenship)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proficiency in security frameworks like NIST RMF or ISO 27001
• Strong understanding of access control and authentication mechanisms
• Ability to manage and analyze security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners)
• Knowledge of incident response and reporting processes
• Familiarity with secure configuration management
• Strong documentation and report-writing abilities
Preferred:
• Knowledge of cloud security practices (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with penetration testing results interpretation
• Experience in managing classified information systems
• Understanding of advanced threat detection techniques
• Knowledge of continuous monitoring tools and practices
• Expertise in implementing zero trust architecture principles
