Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Trauma Surgery Physician Surgeon practice is seeking a qualified physician for McAllen, TX. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Trauma Surgery McAllen, TX The trauma center at McAllen Medical Center has long served as the lead institution providing adult and pediatric trauma services to the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas. Currently, a State of Texas Advanced Level III Trauma Center, we are rapidly positioning ourselves for designation as an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center. At this time, there are three hospital- employed trauma surgeons, providing trauma, surgical critical care and acute general surgery services exclusively at MMC, as part of a burgeoning multispecialty medical group (Valley Care Clinics). We seek an additional surgeon who is board eligible/certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. Total trauma admissions at MMC are anticipated to exceed 1400 annually. There is a significant admixture of penetrating injuries and high ISS cases within our current trauma experience. Additionally, there are no established institutional limits upon access to vascular, thoracic or complex gastrointestinal cases. H1-B Visa candidates, J1 okay for 2017. Student loan repayment will be offered.
