8480 ISS Applications ServicesManages day to day operations and resources. Oversees and manages the implementation of Information System projects according to timelines, deadlines and department standards. Responsible for the creation, implementation and management of technology systems for the hospital. Drives continuous improvement in all applications to deliver outstanding value and meeting strategic direction to the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related area with at least six years of experience in the health care field; or at least ten years of experience in the health care field of which five years with supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Managerial abilities.
Possesses a high level of problem-solving skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Possesses the technical and professional skills of systems and procedure analysis, programming and hardware capabilities.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, both inside and outside the Information Systems Services departments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential
Leads the coordination and delivery of services for applications used in support of departmental operations throughout the organization.
Provides leadership to assigned teams to meet the goals and objectives established by the Chief Information Officer and appropriate hospital personnel.
Communicates regularly with customers on the status of services, projects and requests.
Oversees planning, organizing, coordination and communication of major application initiatives throughout the organization.
Works closely with ISS Leadership to provide project coordination in the provision of information services.
Manages and works in coordination with Human Resources regarding assigned personnel administrative tasks (examples include: staffing levels, recruiting, professional development, continuing education, job descriptions, qualifications, staff performance, in-service and innovation).
Performs administrative tasks related to financial performance of assigned departments (Tasks include, but not limited to; budget creation, budget performance, contract management, performance reporting, vendor management and invoice processing).
Continuously assesses and improves department performance.
Recommends the need for other resources to meet the requirements of the organization. Participates and coordinates in selecting outside sources for needed services.
Enhances professional growth and maintains awareness of current industry trends, legislation and opportunities for improvement.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
