Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent patient care by performing comprehensive physical examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans within the scope of urgent care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and EKGs to inform clinical decisions.
  • Triage patients efficiently, ensuring a steady flow of care to minimize wait times and enhance patient experience.
  • Effectively manage a wide range of urgent medical conditions through both medicinal and procedural interventions.
  • Perform various minor surgical procedures such as wound closures, incision and drainage (I&D), and foreign body removals.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures like joint aspirations and injections, ensuring safe and effective pain relief for patients.
  • Start intravenous (IV) fluids and perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers and toes.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to junior medical staff, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and follow-up on patient callbacks and lab results during your shift.
  • Participate in improving operational workflows and enhancing collaborative efforts among the medical team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will manage a diverse patient population, treating individuals of all ages for a variety of urgent medical conditions. This includes everything from minor injuries to acute illnesses, providing a broad scope of care that will challenge and develop your clinical skills. Your empathetic approach will play a key role in delivering patient-focused care that prioritizes the health and wellness of each individual.

Qualifications
  • A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Georgia.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia.
  • Possession of a valid Controlled Substance License and a DEA registration number.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive care across all age groups, with a demonstrated interest in urgent care.
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an emergency room, urgent care setting, or similar healthcare field.
  • Availability to work two full weekends per month, as required for full-time staff.
  • An MSN or BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree with advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) credentialing.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems that enhance patient management and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with a wide array of urgent care procedures and treatments, including both diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced urgent care environment and willingness to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience.
