Location: San Antonio, TX

Position Summary

The Security Specialist provides cloud security, compliance, identity, and risk assessment functions for the client’s M365 environment. This role supports secure configuration, monitoring, and enforcement of security controls in alignment with requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Azure AD identity and authentication controls, including MFA and conditional access.
  • Configure and monitor M365 Security & Compliance Center solutions.
  • Support DLP, retention, eDiscovery, auditing, and insider risk controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and configuration compliance reviews.
  • Recommend mitigations and remediation steps to enhance security posture.
  • Produce IA/security documentation and reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 additional years of directly related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity or information assurance.
  • Industry-recognized commercial certifications relevant to the role (e.g., Microsoft Security, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, ISC2 CC/CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Experience conducting security assessments, scanning, auditing, and compliance reviews.
