Position Summary

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting large-scale insurance transformation, migration, and modernization initiatives for major insurance clients. You will act as a trusted liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements and ensuring successful delivery of conversion and modernization programs.

This role requires strong experience in the life insurance domain, particularly Universal Life and Traditional Life products, along with knowledge of Vantage/wmA platforms and insurance operations. You will be responsible for business process analysis, requirements management, gap assessments, data conversion analysis, testing support, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to understand current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
  • Conduct gap analyses between legacy and target systems, identifying business, operational, and regulatory impacts.
  • Support large-scale insurance migration and conversion initiatives by documenting business rules, data requirements, and process changes.
  • Analyze policy administration, product configuration, underwriting, billing, and customer service processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop business process models, workflows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Partner with solution architects, developers, QA teams, and conversion specialists to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented.
  • Assist in defining data mapping requirements and validating conversion outcomes during migration activities.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), support test planning, and validate business scenarios to ensure solution quality.
  • Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle, managing changes and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the life insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of Universal Life, Traditional Life, and other life insurance products.
  • Experience supporting insurance platform modernization, migration, or conversion initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Vantage/wmA platforms and insurance policy administration systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance business processes, including policy administration, underwriting, billing, servicing, and compliance.
  • Experience performing requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, and business process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of data conversion concepts, data mapping, and system integration requirements.
  • Experience creating functional requirements documents, business process flows, user stories, and use cases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting testing activities, including UAT planning, test case review, defect management, and business validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Experience working on large-scale insurance transformation or core system modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with business process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Exposure to mainframe environments and legacy insurance systems is an advantage.
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Ability to collaborate with global and offshore teams across multiple time zones, including India.
  • Willingness to support critical project milestones, testing cycles, and production go-live activities when required.
  • The selected candidate will be required to report to their nearest DXC office.
Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $97,100 - $180,300.
