Job description

Position Summary:

The Analyst Principal - IS Functional role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery and support of the Sales and Distribution and Transportation functionality within the Oracle JD Edwards E1 platform.

The position owns the project lifecycle (design, build, test and deployment) and ensures IS initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to strategic business objectives.

This position focuses on JD Edwards Sales & Distribution and Transportation modules, and the role and is responsible for leading the architecture and design of the sales and distribution modules to meet the business requirements.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and 10+ years prior experience with delivery and support of Tier-One ERP applications. Applicants must have strong experience in project management fundamentals and standards.

Responsibilities and Experience:

  • Own the delivery of the Sales & Distribution modules and deliver core functionality to support business requirements

  • Facilitate and organize meetings with functional users and business managers to document procedures and to gather functional requirements.

  • Mentor IS Business Analyst supporting the Sales & Distribution modules, and ensures that the team objectives are met for delivering quality solutions to the business

  • Manages peer relationships within the department and with business counterparts

  • Ability to solve complex problems through troubleshooting technical & functional JDE issues

  • Effectively and independently communicates orally and in writing to appropriate audiences in a timely manner on key programs, initiatives and issues.

  • Proficient in configuring and enhancing JDE applications following established methodology

  • Coordinate quality assurance efforts by developing and executing test plans

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

  • Work effectively with limited supervision and with all work groups to deliver on team goals

  • Create user documentation for modules / applications / processes deployed

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

  • 10 or more years of experience as a Sr. Business or Project Analyst with Tier-One ERP applications

  • 10 or more years of experience with delivery of JDE or SAP application solutions

  • Proven skills in business analysis, quality assurance and implementation of Tier-One ERP applications

  • Thorough understanding of ERP methodologies

  • Experience with integrating enterprise applications solutions - DSI, EDI, OTM

  • Knowledge of other JDE and/or SAP modules such as: Manufacturing, Procurement, Inventory & Finance is a strong plus.

The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
