Job Summary:
ClifyX is seeking an IS Sr. Project Manager responsible for managing large scale, complex business solutions and IS Infrastructure related projects. The role involves project leadership, planning, execution, resource management, and financial management to deliver effective solutions that enhance the company's competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Establishing and executing all aspects of the project management function for large scale, complex business solutions and/or portfolio of small to large sized IS Infrastructure related projects
• Effectively manage and deliver solutions that involve a combination of multiple project teams, multiple technology disciplines, global or multiple region geographic delivery
• Project Leadership, Planning & Administration, Execution Integration, Resource Management, Project level decision making and Financial Management
• Establishes a project management function based on standard project methodologies
• Establishes the Project Charter in collaboration with the Executive and Project Sponsors
• Collaborate with Project Sponsors to define and deploy a project governance program
• Ensures that a project team is clearly defined and a project team organization chart is created and maintained
• Creates and maintains a detailed execution project plan
• Publish program specific administrative processes and procedures
• Utilize the Global IS standard project SPS site to facilitate cross team communication
• Establish a master project meeting calendar for standard meetings
• Act as the central coordinating point for any and all requested program audit and quality assurance activities
• Create and deliver an effective project launch meeting
• Conduct regular integration meetings with teams within the project
• Establish a master communications calendar for standard regular internal program communications
• Provide oversight and input to project plan realignment options
• Actively manage and communicate regular project status
• Conduct impact assessments on any options identified to address unavoidable or sponsor requested changes
• Prepare, communicate and drive cutover plans for all projects moving to production
• Ensure the project's time reporting system tasks are appropriately classified
• Ensure that all project delivery resources are properly trained on how to record their time
• Coordinate with the Project Sponsor and Global IS Finance on establishing monthly project forecast processes
• Assume accountability for project finance control working to keep the project within budget
• Approve the time reports related to the projects
Qualifications:
Required:
• US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Local to Irvine, CA
• Network related project management experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science and Math or related discipline with an IT emphasis
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of continuous experience in a project management role
• Relationship management within an enterprise globally, among executives, customers and staff
• Superior communication skills both written and oral
• Experience leading large cross-function teams and driving consensus among colleagues
• Significant experience in evaluating a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions
• Complex problem resolution under stress
• Strong people leadership capabilities
• High performance dedication, including attention to the details that matter
• Ability to conduct and interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis and problem solving skills
• Establishing relevant and comprehensive project performance related metrics
• Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate courses of action
• Good resource management and planning including different types of resources
• Practical notions of finance for budget control (OPEX, CAPEX) and forecasting activities
• Proof of experience within projects involving the same technologies applied to the projects
Preferred:
• PMP Certification
• Graduate degree in Technology, Business or Management
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• ITIL Global Process Experience
