Job description

Care Initiatives is now hiring a Project Manager to join our team. As the largest single operator of quality nursing homes in Iowa, Care Initiatives has over forty (40) skilled nursing communities, eight (8) hospice offices (and growing!), plus our own internal staffing agency. We are committed to providing exceptional care and support at every stage of the healthcare journey.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. In this role you will be required to work in person at our office in West Des Moines, IA, with the potential to become hybrid in the future.
What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with organization stake holders to create and maintain the organization wide project plan roadmap.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to keep tasks and deliverables on schedule and within budget
  • Lead the project team through each phase, gathering stakeholder input to define requirements and communicating progress through meetings and status reports
  • Align the project team on scope, roles, timeline, and resourcing; create and manage project plans and milestones, tracking progress and addressing variances.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks/issues; escalate significant impacts to management and the project team as needed.

Minimum Skill & Education Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in the field of project development and project management
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business management or related field
  • Project Management Certification - strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Project Management best practice concepts, basic statistical concepts & project life cycle
  • Strong communication and time management skills
