Job Summary:
GHD is a company committed to empowering its employees to make a positive impact. They are seeking a Senior IS Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex Information Services projects, ensuring measurable business value and effective stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the end to end delivery of complex IS projects, from initiation through to closure, ensuring outcomes are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and risk tolerance.
• Establish and maintain fit for purpose delivery plans, governance, and controls aligned with GHD standards and enterprise expectations.
• Proactively manage dependencies, risks, issues, and assumptions, escalating where required with clear options and recommendations.
• Ensure delivery integrates effectively with platform, security, architecture, change, and business operations.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for senior business and IS stakeholders, building trust through clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Prepare and present executive ready reporting, decision briefs, and recommendations, as required.
• Translate business objectives into delivery plans and clearly articulate trade offs, impacts, and delivery implications.
• Manage approved project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial tracking and early identification of variances.
• Support business case or charter development, funding approvals, and vendor engagement, where required.
• Ensure third party delivery partners are effectively managed against contracted scope, outcomes, and performance expectations.
• Apply appropriate project governance, assurance, and compliance controls commensurate with project size, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure projects meet information security, risk, compliance, and audit obligations, particularly in regulated or high risk environments.
• Drive disciplined delivery practices while remaining pragmatic and outcome focused.
• Coach and support Project Managers and delivery team members, contributing to uplift in delivery maturity and capability.
• Model GHD values and foster a collaborative, accountable, and delivery focused culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of IS Project Management Methodology, delivery practices, standards, and templates.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 8-10+ years of demonstrated experience delivering complex, enterprise scale IS or technology projects in a global or matrixed environment.
• Proven capability engaging with senior leaders and executives.
• Advanced project management expertise across complex, multi stakeholder initiatives.
• Strong executive level communication, influence, and decision framing.
• High judgment and autonomy in navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
• Strong financial, risk, and dependency management capability.
• Ability to connect delivery outcomes to enterprise strategy and business value.
Preferred:
• Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience working across applications, platforms, infrastructure, data, or digital transformation initiatives.
• For US candidates only, direct experience delivering US Federal compliance–related initiatives, including coordination of assurance activities, remediation planning, and executive reporting.
• CMMC experience or related certification/training is highly desirable.
