Job Description:

Develops interior ​equipment specifications, interior maintenance programs and ​specifications. Investigates reliability/serviceability problems, ​and designs/develops corrective actions. ​Provides technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers. Develops ​Engineering ​Orders to ​modify ​aircraft interior ​equipment ​and/or configurations. ​Provides ​engineering support to Flight, ​Marketing, Quality ​Assurance and ​Aircraft Production ​in addition ​to supporting ​engineering ​related ​programs and ​objectives.

 Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS/MS ​Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical ​Engineering ​discipline ​from an ​accredited college/university.
  • Zero to ​five years' ​experience ​in aircraft engineering ​or ​related ​experience.
  • Familiarity with aircraft ​interiors, regulatory requirements and AA engineering practices preferred. ​
  • Must have ​good interpersonal skills and work ​well ​with ​other ​groups. 

Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience :

  • BS is Engineering (required, not Engineering Technology and not Engineering Management), Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with airline processes and procedures. AA experience preferred.
  • Experience with aircraft cabin electrical systems, WIFI, and/or IFE systems.
