Job description

Soundview Landscape Irrigation has been providing high quality sprinkler installation and service for over 3 decades. We care deeply about our work and take pride in every sprinkler system we care for or install. We work in some of the most beautiful gardens in the Seattle area, and are known for the craftsmanship we put into every system. We believe in doing things right the first time, and being flexible as landscapes are rarely static, and evolve over time.
Tasks that this role will be asked to perform:
Routine maintenance of irrigation sprinkler systems including, spring activations, repairs, expanding and adding to systems, winterizations.
Installation of new sprinkler systems includes lots of digging, plumbing with PVC pipe and glue.
All jobs require attention to detail when it comes to keeping a job site tidy, clean at the end of the day, and repairing any disturbed landscaping back to its original form.
A person who will be successful at this job will be RELIABLE. They will show up every day, on time, ready to work. They will have a good attitude and be willing and eager to learn, and be part of the team at Soundview.
They will have good MECHANICAL APTITUDE AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. What we do requires the use of tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, screw drivers, shovels, picks and drills and being able to use hand tools effectively is important. Understanding hydraulics and irrigation systems will help an applicant be successful.  Applicants should have good problem solving skills and have the desire to see challenging issues through to completion.
Applicants must have good CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS including a positive attitude, good verbal and listening skills, and a gracious demeanor. They must be able to accurately describe and record what tasks they have performed and what supplies were used.
Applicants NEED AT LEAST 2 YEARS of experience in this field
Drivers license required with insurable driving record
Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
