An Irrigation Technician will visit client properties to assess the condition of the irrigation system, make any necessary repairs or adjustments, and change irrigation scheduling based on current and expected weather conditions. The employee will also communicate in writing and verbally with clients and supervisors regarding the work completed on each site and any issues that may require further attention. The employee is under the supervision of the manager and owners. Ongoing training in irrigation and landscape maintenance practices, safety, and other subjects relevant to the positions job requirements is required on a yearly basis through formal instruction both inside and outside the company. A typical work week is 40 hours Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Visits client properties based on the schedule provided by supervisors.
· Detects, troubleshoots, and makes any minor repairs to the irrigation system.
· Notifies Company Manager and Property representative of major repairs required to the irrigation system.
· Adjust irrigation controllers to apply the proper amounts of water to turf, shrubs, flowers, and trees based on current and anticipated weather conditions.
· Prepares Irrigation Daily Work Reports for each site visited.
