Seeking a Licensed Irrigator, must be licensed & current. This position will support our Dallas Metroplex, reporting to our local Dallas Site. Daily requirements will be checking multiple properties, coordinating with crews and/or Account Managers on site, programming irrigation controllers, meeting with customers, uploading photos and job site notes into our operations management system, assisting in placing parts orders and picking up parts. Must be able to perform the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and modify irrigation systems in accordance with TCEQ standards
  • Ensure all irrigation systems include proper backflow prevention and isolation from potable water supplies
  • Inspect irrigation systems for code compliance, leaks, pressure issues, electrical faults, and coverage efficiency
  • Program, adjust, and troubleshoot irrigation controllers, including smart and weather-based systems
  • Perform system start-ups, winterization (as needed), audits, and seasonal adjustments
  • Supervise and be responsible for work performed by Irrigation Technicians and Irrigation Apprentices
  • Maintain accurate documentation, permits, and inspection records as required by TCEQ
  • Communicate system issues, repairs, and water-saving recommendations to customers or property managers
  • Promote water conservation and efficient irrigation practices
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and job site safety standards

Required Qualifications
  • Active Texas Licensed Irrigator (LI) issued by TCEQ
  • Knowledge of Texas irrigation laws, rules, and plumbing separation requirements
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, irrigation design, electrical troubleshooting, and system components
  • Ability to read irrigation plans, site layouts, and as-built drawings
  • Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in Dallas weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
