Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Steel Foreman is a hands-on working foreman that performs a variety of tasks for all types of commercial and industrial construction sites.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for completion of projects and field personnel productivity
  • Strong leadership skills to oversee the entire project, ensure their crew is working safely and efficiently
  • Effectively manages subcontractors with regard to quality & schedule
  • Responsible for communicating project progress to field superintendent
  • Operate equipment such as aerial lifts, forklifts, and skid-steers
  • Completion of weekly project look ahead schedules

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled ironworker, millwright or applicable experience
  • Physically capable including strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance and ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lead and mentor by example
  • Communicate effectively, both oral and written
  • Basic smartphone skills
  • Detail oriented and efficient in their work
  • Skilled in reading blueprints, structural steel shop drawings, PEMB plans and designs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pre-engineered metal buildings experience
  • Conventional Steel experience
  • Certified Welder or the ability to be certified
