About Hilton Mechanical

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands-on work. We invest in training and always give our employees the opportunity to expand into new areas of the trade.


Overview

We're looking for an Ironworker who can handle structural steel erection, miscellaneous metals, and rigging work on active construction sites. You will be based out of our Alpharetta and Gainesville Shops, but travel to active construction jobsites will be needed.

Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.


Potential Responsibilities:

  • Erect structural steel columns, beams, bracing, connection plates, and embed plates
  • Fit and weld structural connections per project specifications
  • Rig, signal, and assist with crane picks and material moves
  • Read and work from structural drawings and erection plans
  • Work safely at elevation using fall protection, aerial lifts, and scaffolding
  • Follow all site safety requirements and maintain a clean work area


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of ironworker experience in structural steel or heavy industrial work
  • Comfortable working at elevation
  • Basic rigging and signaling knowledge
  • Apprentice or Journeyman Ironworker card
  • Structural weld qualification (SMAW or FCAW)
  • Valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation and ability to travel
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications
