Job description

Low-Voltage and IT Systems — New Construction and Existing Facilities

We are looking for a Traveling Field Operations Supervisor with experience in low-voltage, data, voice, wireless, CCTV, and access control within the senior living, MDU, and mid-rise commercial construction fields. This is a supervisory/leadership position.

Working alongside our internal project management teams, this supervisor will lead field crews delivering low-voltage structured cabling, wireless networks, phone systems, CCTV, access control, and IPTV systems — across both commercial new construction and active senior living facilities. Strong leadership is essential: you will work directly with construction superintendents, project managers, and IT directors to drive projects forward on schedule. You will read and work from construction drawings and network topology plans, maintain detailed documentation of tasks, punch lists, timelines, and milestones, and perform quality assurance inspections throughout each project phase. At completion, you will compile and deliver a comprehensive closeout package to the customer.

This position is based initially in Tucson, Arizona, and will work on various projects in the Phoenix and Tucson area and throughout the United States. Because our senior living community portfolio spans the country, the role requires approximately 50% nationwide travel. Dual Path will cover all related travel expenses (air travel, rental car, and accommodations).

An ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience and proficiency in the following areas:

Essential Duties:

  • The primary role of this position is to function as a supervisor for on-site low-voltage installation crews on multiple projects in multiple locations concurrently
  • Projects will consist of new construction builds and network installation, with the low-voltage/systems installations being conducted in different phases until completion
  • Oversee strict project timelines to ensure the installation crews are on track with construction phases, deadlines, and milestones
  • Coordinate with onsite construction superintendents, customer project management, IT Directors, and internal project management teams
  • Interpret and work from construction drawings, as-builts, and network topology plans to guide installation activities
  • Perform quality control inspections on the low-voltage/systems installations to ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and design plans
  • Document man-hours, workflow, and progress throughout the lifecycle of each project
  • Conduct site surveys for ISP circuit deliveries, conduit pathways, site work, and new prospective projects
  • Resolve issues through the proper means and channels to guarantee project success
  • Compile and deliver comprehensive project closeout documentation to the customer upon project completion

Low-Voltage Skills:

  • Cat3, Cat6 commercial structured cabling installation
  • Cat3 riser commercial structured cabling installation
  • Cat3, Cat6 110/66 termination, certification, and troubleshooting
  • RG6, RG11 coaxial cabling installation, termination, and testing
  • MM and SM fiber-optic commercial structured cabling installation
  • MM and SM fiber-optic splicing, termination, and testing
  • MDF/IDF racking build-out and dressing
  • Ladder rack and cabling support systems
  • EMT/PVC conduit pathway requirements for facility trunk and drop cabling
  • PVC underground conduit pathway requirements for facility trunk cabling and entry point
  • Pedestal, hand-hole, man-hole pathway requirements for facility trunk cabling and entry point
  • Extensive knowledge of proper structured cabling practices for new construction including wood and concrete/steel structures
  • Knowledge of EIA/TIA, BICSI, and NEC standards
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, electrical, and building codes
  • Knowledge of senior living/multi-family/MDU/commercial facilities

Systems Implementation Skills:

  • Wireless Access Point deployments, testing, and heat-mapping
  • WAN/LAN network equipment deployments
  • CCTV indoor/outdoor camera installation and testing
  • Construction site cellular CCTV solar/battery pole installation and testing
  • Access Control card readers, door strikes, ADA, and intercom installation

  • IPTV system deployment, configuration, and testing
  • VoIP / phone system installation and configuration
  • IoT and energy management systems

Personal Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for proper installation methods
  • Problem solver with the ability to properly manage issues as they arise
  • Natural ability to organize and maintain structure within complex projects
  • Great communication skills and the capability to collaborate with multiple teams
