Job description

Job Summary:
To manage and perform soldering of surface mount components on PC boards, work under a microscope on electronic assemblies in an ESD protected area, solder electrical connections, wire lead preparation, minor assembly and inspection in a timely, high quality manner.
                                                                                                   
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ability to solder electrical connections in accordance with process standard J-STD-001(Soldered electrical and electronic assemblies), IPC-A-610(Visually inspecting PCBAs) & IPC/WHMA-A-620(Cable and Wire harness Assemblies)
  • Ability to read, understand and follow detail drawing and work instruction
  • Working knowledge of various soldering allows, fluxes and cleaning materials and procedures
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills and basic reading, writing and math gained through a high school education.
  • Ability to work in a team based environment and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Perform soldering of switch assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications and process standards.
  • Cut wire and prepare leads as required.
  • Operate cutter/stripper machine, proper hand tools and thermal hand held wire stripper.
  • Operate soldering station and control tip temperature to optimize quality and output.
  • Understand component parts identification, process improvement and inventory awareness.
  • Provide “on demand” soldering services to the production floor.
  • Monitor wire and other supply inventories, and initiate replacement orders as needed
  • Eliminate non-valued added activities.
  • Perform quality inspection of work product.
  • Practice company-wide reliable methods.
  • Authority and responsibility to initiate action to prevent nonconformity, identify and record all problems relating to the product, process, and quality system, initiate or recommend solutions, verify the effectiveness of the solutions and control further processing or delivery of the nonconformance until it has been resolved.
  • Maintain safe working environment by following company safety procedures.
  • Quality Policy – Although you will not be required to memorize Quality Policy, you should be able to explain it and its impact on you.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•             Certification in all IPC’s.  IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/IPC-7721.
Pay Rage: $25-$30
