To thrive as an IoT Full Stack Developer, you need expertise in both hardware and software integration, proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, and C/C++, and a solid understanding of networking protocols. Experience with IoT platforms (such as AWS IoT or Azure IoT), database management, and familiarity with embedded systems and cloud services are typically required, along with relevant certifications. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and adaptability set top performers apart in this role. These skills are crucial for building reliable, scalable IoT solutions that bridge devices, data, and user interfaces while ensuring seamless collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

What are some common challenges IoT Full Stack Developers face when integrating hardware and software components?

IoT Full Stack Developers often encounter challenges when bridging the gap between embedded hardware and cloud-based applications. Job description

Full Stack Software Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a Full Stack Developer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast and agile environment. If you're looking for the chance to not just develop software, but to architect systems that make a meaningful difference to national defense, we need you on our team. We're seeking a Full Stack Developer with the engineering depth to build enterprise-grade mission systems and the leadership skills to guide delivery teams.

As a Full Stack Developer supporting The Department of War (DoW) and the Intelligence Community (IC), you'll help modernize ISR mission and weapon-system environments, integrating cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, microservices, and digital thread concepts into resilient software solutions. You'll ensure every solution considers the broader architecture, security posture, and future capability enhancements required to transition technologies into operational use.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering

  • Experience architecting and deploying full stack applications, including backend services, front-end components, and API-driven integrations

  • Ability to work with two modern languages, including Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript

  • Ability to work with a front-end framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue

  • Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing, and secure coding practices

  • Ability to work with containers and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

  • Ability to work with infrastructure-as-code and environment automation, such as Terraform or Ansible

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience integrating software with MBSE or digital engineering environments, such as SysML, Cameo, or MagicDraw

  • Experience developing software for DoD or Intelligence Community mission systems

  • Experience with MLOps, data engineering pipelines, or modeling and simulation tools, including STK, MATLAB, or Simulink

  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture, zero-trust principles, service mesh, and enterprise observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • CISSP, CKAD, CKA, AWS, Azure, or Security+ Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
