We are currently seeking a FullStack Engineer - Halifax Canada to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

"Role and Responsibilities


- Working with public cloud and cloud based technologies with Microsoft Azure preferred
- Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement via collaboration and willingness to learn
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer needs and transactions

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures that support high availability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
- Build and support event-driven architectures using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Azure Service Bus.
- Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational database technologies.


- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins.
- Develop automated tests including unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing using JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium.
-  Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and Chaos Engineering practices to improve system resilience and fault tolerance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, scalability, and production issues across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
- Ensure adherence to security, coding standards, and software development best practices.

Experience 
- 8+ years solid experience with java spring-based frameworks and libraries preferably Spring boot
- 5+ years hands on experience working with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Service Bus
- 5+ years experience with building applications working with databases like Oracle, Postgres etc. 
- Experience building and consuming REST API based integration and microservices architecture.


- Understanding and experience working with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins
- Experience with software application testing approaches and tools like jUnit, Cucumber, Selenium.
- Experience with Chaos Testing and other SRE practices for building highly resilient cloud-based software applications
- Experience designing and developing applications in microservices architecture"
