We are currently seeking to fill the part-time role of an Orthodontic Assistant in our Medina office which involves direct patient care with a variety of responsibilities that help our patients achieve great smiles with Invisalign and braces. Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Communicating clearly with patients and parents
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Taking detailed, accurate notes of patient visits
  • Educating patients on and demonstrating proper oral hygiene techniques and wearing elastics or Invisalign aligners 
  • Assisting the doctor in orthodontic procedures (arch-wire changes, placing and debonding of braces, placing Invisalign attachments, taking dental X-rays, capturing intraoral and facial photographs, and intraoral scans with iTero scanner, etc.)
  • Sterilization of instruments and infection prevention throughout treatment area and office
  • Learning to anticipate needs of doctor and teammates to ensure an efficient workflow throughout the day
  • Organizing and restocking treatment and storage areas
  • Other responsibilities as needed


Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, dental or orthodontics preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate
  • Comfortable using computers and other office technology
  • Applicants are a minimum age of 18 years old


Other details:

  • 24-30 hours per week; no regular weekend/ evening hours; Our team participates in approximately 3-4 'off hours' events each year including a Continuing Education event (one weeknight), Kylie Rose's Run (one Sunday afternoon) and Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce events (one weeknight).
