Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) Atlanta, Georgia | Full-Time Direct Hire | Up to $30 per Hour A-Team Dental Staffing has partnered with an established, innovative private dental practice in Atlanta, Georgia, to recruit an experienced Expanded Duty Dental Assistant for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. This established fee-for-service practice has served the Atlanta community for more than 40 years and provides comprehensive general, cosmetic, restorative, implant, endodontic, and clear-aligner dentistry. The practice offers advanced technology, ongoing training, and meaningful opportunities for professional development.

The ideal candidate is an experienced, clinically confident assistant who possesses Georgia expanded-duty certifications and can work efficiently alongside multiple providers in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Monday: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m

Full-time, direct-hire position Team members arrive approximately 20 minutes before the first patient Compensation Up to $30 per hour Compensation based on experience, certifications, expanded-duty qualifications, and clinical skill level Training and Professional Development Dedicated one-hour team training session every Wednesday Employer-supported continuing education The practice is willing to pay for advanced education and certifications for the right candidate Potential employer-sponsored training in areas such as phlebotomy Opportunities to expand clinical knowledge and advance professionally Practice Environment Established for more than 40 years Four-provider practice Two dental hygienists Approximately 13 team members Ten operatories Fee-for-service patient base Innovative, stable, people-oriented, and team-focused culture Detail-oriented and committed to excellent clinical outcomes Responsibilities Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance Perform expanded duties permitted by the candidate's Georgia certifications Anticipate the doctors' needs throughout procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment Assist with crowns and bridges, composite fillings, root canals, extractions, implant placement, partial and complete dentures, fixed implant-retained dentures, cosmetic procedures, and Invisalign Assist with complex restorative and surgical procedures Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs Capture digital impressions using an iTero scanner Assist with 3D imaging and implant treatment workflows Fabricate provisional restorations when appropriately certified Prepare patients for treatment and explain procedures Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix Turn over treatment rooms thoroughly and efficiently Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control protocols Monitor supplies and restock clinical areas Provide postoperative instructions as directed Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout treatment Maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced, multi-provider practice Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and practice safety requirements Participate in weekly Wednesday training sessions Software and Technology Dentrix Practice by Numbers Vatech EZ-Denti imaging software Vatech Green CT 3D imaging iTero digital scanner Endo Edge endodontic system Multiple implant systems, including BioHorizons, MegaGen, and Zimmer Biomet This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Expanded Duty Dental Assistant who wants excellent compensation, comprehensive benefits, advanced training, and the opportunity to continue growing clinically.
