Job description

Are you a friendly, fun, caring and considerate, detail-oriented dental assistant looking to grow your career? Bel Air Dental Arts is a brand new, privately owned, high-end, state of the art dental practice in Abingdon, MD seeking an experienced and enthusiastic dental assistant to join our team.

Ideal candidates would be eager to learn. We will be attending continuing education opportunities and community events to help our practice grow.

Help us build a dental office that you would be happy to call yours and want to brag about to your friends and family.

Our office offers restorative, endodontics, invisalign, CT guided implant dentistry, periodontics and oral surgery.

All team members MUST be willing to be cross trained and step in to help when help is needed. This is a small team and we rely on each other.

Hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 5:00pm with a daily lunch break 1:00pm-2:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist our dentist in all chairside procedures
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and sterilizations areas.
  • Take digital xrays and impressions and scans with itero
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental procedures , oral health and post-treatment care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Participate in office social media and community events to help build our practice
  • Attend group continuing education events and/or watch instructional videos in the office to stay current on the latest dental technologies and systems
  • Answer phones and schedule patients

Requirements

  • 2 years previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
  • Current CPR certification and radiology certification required.
  • Attention to infection control and strict OSHA compliance
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
