ALA's Investment Management team is responsible for overseeing the firm's capital formation and portfolio management activities across its institutional investment platform. The team works closely with investors, senior leadership, and investment professionals to support fundraising initiatives, investor communications, portfolio analytics, and strategic management of existing investments. Responsibilities span investor engagement and capital markets activities, including fundraising and investor relations, as well as portfolio management functions, such as performance monitoring, research, reporting, and coordination across internal stakeholders to support the firm's long-term investment objectives.

The Investment Management team is seeking a Investment Management Coordinator to support the fundraising and investor relations functions. The role will provide broad exposure across the firm's institutional fundraising and portfolio management activities and involves close collaboration with senior professionals across investment, operations, and client-facing teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The individual will report to the Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Capital Markets, who leads the investment management function of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of marketing and capital raising materials, including pitch books, investor presentations, conference and webinar materials, performance memos, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Coordinate workflows and project management efforts across the Investment Management team to support capital raising and investor engagement activities.
  • Assist with the development and execution of capital raising and go-to-market strategies for existing and new investment products.
  • Respond to investor due diligence requests and support the preparation of related materials and data requests.
  • Assist with ongoing investor relations activities for existing funds, including investor communications, updates, and reporting coordination.
  • Organize meeting preparation materials, including background research, prospect profiles, investor sensitivities, and program intelligence.
  • Organize, track, and support the preparation of follow-up materials after investor meetings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on business development trends, investor themes, and market activity by geography, channel, and client type.
  • Maintain and update investor and prospect databases, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Monitor and manage incoming communications and ensure timely and professional responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support to the Global Head of Capital Markets and broader Investment Management team, including:
    • Coordinate investor meetings and events, including scheduling and logistics.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reporting, office operations, and general office support.
    • Assist with special projects, event planning, and other ad hoc initiatives while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in investment management, financial services, investor relations, capital raising, consulting, or a related field preferred; exceptional entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and support business initiatives.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Passion for learning and adopting new technologies to improve productivity and accuracy in data management.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative and support the broader team where needed.
  • Interest in private real estate, institutional fundraising, and investment management required.
