Summary

SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design & manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry.

The Aerospace Business Unit takes care of everything related to Aerospace applications. This includes Sales, Manufacturing, Business Development, and creating new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

 In your role as Business Controller, directly reporting to the Cluster controller Aeroengine Europe and Balls Factories, you will be responsible mainly for the following activities:

  • Partner with Factory Management to provide timely financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPI's) to maximize performance
  • Identify / initiate actions to improve profitability and assets turns, personally executing appropriate ones. Examples include working capital reduction strategies, contribution margin leakage and countermeasures, operations restructuring, product cost re-engineering, financial analysis and modeling, and sustaining lean manufacturing savings
  • Guide the annual organization of planning and budget allocation to promote the establishment of feasible goals aimed at consistent progress, accompanied by actionable steps to guarantee the realization of target results. Ensure a thorough understanding of plan drivers and opportunities / risks to facilitate development of cogent contingency plans
  • Facilitate the realization of specific results that either fulfill or excel beyond the planned benchmarks. Continuously monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities and initiate corrective actions
  • Ensure that internal controls and procedures are adequate (no significant deficiencies) and comply with the requirements of SKF Internal Control policy
  • Responsible for all Cost Accounting functions -- establishing standard cost, variance analysis, and month-end closing
  • Coordinate the end-to-end transformation process, which involves collecting data, performing analytics, and presenting findings, to guarantee profitability across the full value network
  • Investment controlling, including strategy alignment analysis, and tracking of business benefits
  • Factory Finance support for quoting new business, which may include preparation of cost estimates and analysis
  • Support to FOC and tax department when necessary (annual audit, tax controls...) and prepare Ad Hoc analysis and reports as required
  • Engaged team member with a significant footprint in the manufacturing floor

You will also be responsible for controlling of Sales Unit in Winsted, CT (USA).

We expect you to have

  • Experience in business controlling background with accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare concise financial reviews to make better business decisions
  • Sound analytical, problem identification and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to be proactive and innovative, and use critical and strategic thinking
  • Experience developing and using Standard Cost Accounting
  • Excellent MS Office skills and a solid understanding of ERP systems. Experience with financial consolidation systems such as XA and SARA Masterpiece would be a plus
  • Strong professional verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred experience with data analytics and digital tools such as PowerBI
  • Ability to work within and facilitate a team environment
