Are you a strategic thinker with an investor's mindset, ready to shape the future of Generative AI at a premier global quantitative investment firm?
A top-tier investment and technology development firm is seeking an exceptional Strategy Analyst to join its pioneering GenAI Business Strategy and Transformation team. This isn't just an analytics role; it's a critical strategic function at the heart of the firm's innovation efforts.
We're looking for someone who can combine rigorous financial acumen with deep commercial judgment and an external market perspective to guide the firm's most significant GenAI investments. You will be the architect of "buy vs. build" decisions, building intricate financial models, dissecting competitive landscapes, and challenging assumptions to ensure every GenAI bet aligns with strategic objectives and delivers measurable impact.
As a Strategy Analyst on this central team, you will:
  • Lead Strategic Evaluation: Drive comprehensive "buy vs. build" analyses for cutting-edge GenAI technologies and initiatives, delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Architect Financial Models: Develop sophisticated ROI and financial impact models, forecasting the business value of GenAI across diverse business units and tracking performance against key metrics.
  • Conduct Market Intelligence: Perform rigorous competitive analysis, identify emerging trends, and provide an invaluable "outside perspective" to inform GenAI strategy.
  • Challenge Assumptions: Dive deep into proposals, scrutinize underlying assumptions, and stress-test models to ensure robust decision-making.
  • Drive Commercial Impact: Translate complex technical possibilities into tangible business opportunities, advising teams on optimization levers and embedding key metrics into governance processes.
  • Shape the Future: Play a pivotal role in building out a new, high-impact function within the firm, fostering a culture of innovation and responsible AI adoption.

We are seeking candidates with an exceptional blend of analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and commercial judgment. You likely have a background in:
  • Private Equity or Venture Capital (Associate level) with expertise in evaluating investment opportunities, building comprehensive financial models, and conducting due diligence.
  • Top-tier Management Consulting (e.g. MBB) with experience of leading strategic projects, performing market analysis, and developing actionable recommendations for senior executives, particularly within technology or digital transformation practices.
  • Corporate Strategy or Corporate Development with a proven track record in evaluating new business initiatives, M&A opportunities, or "buy vs. build" decisions at leading technology or financial institutions.

Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least five years of experience in analytics, strategy, investing, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on financial modeling and strategic decision support.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate data-driven insights, build complex evaluation frameworks (including ROI and financial impact models), and communicate findings to senior stakeholders through clear, impactful visualizations and concise narratives.
  • Exceptional commercial judgment and a proven ability to provide an objective, outside perspective on technology investments.
  • Strong interest in Generative AI; while direct GenAI experience is highly valued, candidates without it must possess an impressive skillset in a relevant area (e.g. analytics, consulting, technical strategy) along with a demonstrated passion for the field.
