Overview

The Investment Analyst provides crucial research and due diligence findings regarding external investment managers to the Wealth Management Investment Management Council and the leadership of Wealth Management.  The Investment Analyst will also develop efficient portfolios and portfolio models with differing risk profiles for Wealth Management clients and prospects.  The Investment Analyst will present recommendations on managers and portfolios to the Asset Management Council and the Director of Research.  He/she will also prepare communications designed to inform Portfolio Managers regarding investment manager selections, portfolio construction and tactical changes to same.

What You'll Do
  • Perform research and due diligence on external investment managers.
  • Perform regular manager searches for variety of asset classes and vehicles.
  • Contact fund and manager firms for updates on strategies and performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to Asset Management Council and WM Management.
  • Develop efficient portfolios and models for different objectives across risk spectrum.
  • Document findings for compliance and audit.
  • Communicate portfolio and manager information to Portfolio Managers in field.
  • Review non-approved assets received in-kind on new accounts.
  • Perform annual reviews on non-approved assets.
Requirements For Success
  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Financial Analyst or CFA candidate.
  • 6+ or more years investment experience with emphasis on manager research.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
