This part-time, on-site internship for the fall semester provides an opportunity to support the design and characterization of MEMS resonators. The work will focus primarily on investigating nonlinear behavior in new resonator designs while contributing to the advancement of next-generation MEMS technologies. The intern's schedule will be coordinated to accommodate academic commitments.
Responsibilities
  • Support the design, testing, and characterization of MEMS resonators.
  • Investigate and document nonlinear behavior in new resonator designs.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
  • Update, maintain, and troubleshoot test software and associated laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with failure analysis activities to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on ongoing development projects.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and comply with all applicable safety and quality requirements.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Completion of the junior year in an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering program, or current enrollment in a master's program in engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site on a part-time basis throughout the fall semester.
