Job description

Assists in a variety of duties, including verifying and counting incoming items, processing items through material inventory system, issuing material for manufacturing orders, preparing kits, inspecting material, as well as organizing and maintaining inventory areas.  Attention to detail, and proficiency with computer programs required.

Description:      

The Inventory Technician assists in a variety of duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Counts and verifies incoming receipt items against PO’s.
  • Processes receipts in material inventory system.
  • Issues material for manufacturing orders and/or Engineering projects from stock. 
  • Prepares/kits material for the production floor and/or Engineering projects.
  • Processes inbound and outbound field service material for service repairs.
  • Organizes and maintains inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling.
  •  Manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.
  • Uses Deltek, Costpoint and RFgen to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials and associated back orders.
  • Identifies inventory related transaction errors.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and identify discrepancies.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be familiar with processing transactions in corporate ERP and MRP systems.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products, Excel and Word.
  • Must have attention to detail, and analytical skills to resolve inventory discrepancies and priorities.
  • Some experience and skills in inventory processing, kitting, and shipping and receiving.
  • 2 years working in a general business environment.
