Overview


The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring overall inventory accuracy across multiple systems and physical. The role operates at the intersection of Warehouse Operations, Purchasing, Order Management, Invoicing, and Billing functions. Primarily, the Inventory Control Analyst will maintain inventory accuracy through the investigation of inventory variances using a combination of multiple systems and physical investigation within ePlus warehouse locations. Success in the role requires investigative, research analysis, and communication skills. This role ensures data integrity within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supports overall operational efficiency by keeping inventory records accurate and up to date.


Your Impact


The essential functions of this position include:  

  • Work directly with Supply Chain and Sales business units to identify, research, diagnose, resolve, and communicate inventory issues (Discrepancies, variances, damages, vendor receipt, shipments, and other inventory-related issues of concern.
  • Ensure inventory is balanced across multiple systems by managing exception reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Execute cycle count assignments and review data. Provide oversight on-the-floor Inventory Control Coordinators.
  • Monitor inventory levels, including inventory receipts, movements, configuration, and shipment transactions, daily.
  • Be vigilant in maintaining the WMS and act as a WMS superuser.
  • Support quarterly and annual inventory compliance audit activities. This includes oversight of cyclical physical counts.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Expeditor, Order Management, Purchasing, Returns and Warehouse team on the resolution of customer issues.
  • Prioritize workload accordingly as received through email alias and other platforms.
  • Look for inefficiencies for reporting Excess/Obsolete (E/O) inventory; Implement changes as approved by senior level employees or management.
  • Supervise the compliance audits of the controls and SOPs of the movement of goods inter-department and ensure that this is tracked and recorded systematically.
  • Perform root cause analysis for exceptions/discrepancies and provide corrective action.
  • Assist Senior Inventory Control Analyst and ICM (Inventory Control Manager) in gathering information for internal and external auditors for auditing of the Inventory procedures.
  • Ensures accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification and system review.
  • Manage special project assignments and additional responsibilities as needed.
  • On-site attendance is required (remote work is not available)

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with inventory in warehousing environment with emphasis on research and analysis.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • IT Industry related experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication/phone skills.
  • Computer experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Must be a team player with a "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around the internet.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to attain certification to operate powered equipment, including but not limited to Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), electric/manual pallet jacks, and scissor lifts (certification available on-site through ePlus).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds safely and without assistance.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and lifting as needed.

Position Specifics


The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $21.63 and $31.25 hourly. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our compensation package may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.

Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.
