Position: Inventory Manager

Reports to: Apopka Operations Manager

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and monitor all inventory control and receiving processes to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient inventory transactions.
  • Perform inventory analysis and management to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational requirements.
  • Conduct daily inventory activities, including cycle counts, physical inventory counts, recounts, and inventory audits in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage physical inventory across the Apopka campus and designated partner locations.
  • Maintain inventory integrity across multiple units of measure within the ERP system.
  • Develop, review, and continuously improve inventory control procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate and oversee cycle count programs for all raw materials and inventory classifications.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and resolve negative inventory balances in a timely manner.
  • Lead and supervise inventory team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze inventory reports using SAP or the company's ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to identify shortages and support replenishment planning.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and control systems.
  • Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly and monthly basis to measure inventory performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Directly supervising the daily activities of the Inventory and Receiving teams, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Partner with Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Accounting to ensure accurate inventory transactions and efficient material flow throughout the organization.
Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Experience working with SAP or a comparable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments while managing competing priorities.
