Inventory Controller

Location: Burlington & Billerica, MA
Salary: $80,000–$105,000/year
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to support warehouse, inventory, and shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Warehouse Management (WMS) experience and a background in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and inventory management.

This person will help keep orders moving, resolve inventory and fulfillment issues, and improve warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) to support warehouse, inventory, and fulfillment operations.
  • Monitor daily shipping activities and resolve incomplete, delayed, or blocked orders.
  • Identify and resolve domestic and international order processing and fulfillment issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish picking and shipping locations as needed.
  • Adjust replenishment settings and inventory parameters to maintain efficient inventory flow.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on D365 warehouse and fulfillment processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and inventory processes.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to resolve issues and maintain productivity.
  • Train, motivate, and support warehouse staff as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, teammates, and other departments.
  • Analyze problems, gather information, establish facts, and develop practical solutions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience, preferably with D365 Warehouse Management (WMS).
  • 4+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a high-volume shipping or distribution environment.
  • Experience with inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and ERP system experience.
  • Experience leading, training, and motivating warehouse employees.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly to managers and team members.
