Description

We are ERock!

ERock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. ERock has responded to long-term trends in electricity by becoming the first smart-grid supplier to US energy consumers. The company installs, operates, and integrates its highly flexible, low-cost, and quick-response distributed generation to increase reliability and stability, reduce costs and decrease carbon footprint.

At ERock, our backup generators ensure that customers will never be without power, allowing their business to operate normally when there is an outage in the area. Our innovative approach provides customers with highly reliable, ultra-clean backup generation at a fraction of the cost of traditional backup solutions. We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the VP of Planning and Inventory, the Inventory Manager will lead the inventory team and warehouse operations for our manufacturing site ramp-up. You will own the full material lifecycle, including receiving, put away, production order picking, and logistics; ensuring that as production volumes increase, our processes remain robust and the team stays aligned. This role requires a leader who understands the financial impact of inventory transactions, ensuring transactional integrity and ERP data accuracy to meet both financial compliance and service level targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Building & Process Leadership

  • Team Development: Recruit, onboard, and stabilize a high-performing inventory team. You will be responsible for continuous training and mentoring to ensure the team is skilled in both physical handling and ERP system accuracy.
  • Process-Driven Management: Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, repeatable results as volume scales.
  • Performance Control: Set clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations. You will provide the leadership necessary to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and transactional discipline.

Warehouse Operations & Problem Solving

  • Operational Monitoring: Provide daily oversight of warehouse functions (Receiving, Shipping, Picking). You will actively monitor and control workflows to identify bottlenecks before they impact the production line.
  • Active Problem Solving: Serve as the primary point of escalation for inventory discrepancies, logistics delays, or system errors, using data-driven insights to resolve root causes.
  • Facility Optimization: Utilize 5S methodologies to optimize warehouse layout for maximum picking and putaway efficiency.

MRP & Data Integrity

  • Master Data Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of Item Card integrity within the ERP; partner with Planning and Procurement to ensure item parameters (lead times, safety stocks, reorder points) reflect operational reality.
  • Supply/Demand Synchronization: Monitor MRP signals to ensure supply is synchronized with the master production schedule, proactively resolving gaps for internal production customers.

Inventory Integrity & Financial Compliance

  • Audits & Cycle Counts: Lead a rigorous cycle count program and coordinate full inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records, ensuring 100% integrity for financial reporting.
  • Financial Impact: Ensure all physical movements are mirrored in the ERP in real-time. Maintain a deep understanding of how inventory transactions impact the General Ledger (COGS, WIP, and Valuation).
  • Compliance: Apply a strong foundational knowledge of SOX rules to ensure all processes meet internal control standards and audit readiness.

Requirements

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in SCM, Industrial Engineering/ Distribution or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an Inventory or Warehouse manager leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced understanding of warehousing processes and the related ERP transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and analyze safety stock and re-order points for multiple sites.
  • Experience working with 3PL and trucking companies to manage inter-modal logistics.
  • Experience with new facility ramp-up, including warehouse layout, process design, transactional controls and team building.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with new facility ramp-up, including warehouse layout, process design, transactional controls and team building.
  • Have Power BI experience.
  • Have Business Central ERP experience.
  • Experience implementing 5S within the warehouse environment.

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Wellness Programs and Incentives
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match
  • Paid Time Off - Sick & Vacation Time
  • Paid Holidays
