Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Inventory Control Assistant.

An Inventory Control Assistant for Ferguson Facilities Supply is responsible for Sales & Operations planning, acting as a liaison between our sales force and our Supply Chain department at Headquarters. General areas of responsibility include coordination and collaboration with channel partners, suppliers, intermediaries, and internal customers; integration of supply and demand management across our DC network; linking major functions and processes inside and outside of the organization into a cohesive and high-performing business model.

Areas of impact:

Delivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set procedures. Work consists of tasks that are very routing, or well defined, with specific instructions to achieve standardized solutions.

Problem solving:

Problems and issues faced are routine and solutions are clear. Follows a well-established and familiar set of job activities and/or job processes to solve a problem.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay starts at $21.76 but could be more based on experience

Job duties:

  • Completes advanced duties associated with inventory management on a day-to-day basis via Power BI based monitoring.
  • Delivers inventory support to specific regions, may align with specific types of business and/or vendors.
  • Completes complex or new tasks, and assists sales team with own technical knowledge, leveraging solutions in inventory management.
  • Works closely with various departments such as field sales, Category Management, HQ Supply Chain, and our blended partners.
  • Provides applicable inventory control measures to ensure FFS is responsibly managing inventories.
  • Works through Outlook, Teams, Excel & other various platforms to solution and communicate solutions for our external customers.
  • Adhere to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Prior experience:

1+ Years Sales experience preferred. Applies basic job knowledge of systems and procedures that are relevant to own job.
