Job description

Utz Quality Foods is looking for a motivated Production Supervisor to join our team at our 900 High Street manufacturing facility in Hanover, PA. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee production lines, leading teams across packaging, packing, and finished product handling to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. If you're a strong communicator who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and keeping production running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Flexibility is required to support production needs during peak periods.

As a Production Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Production Manager to drive performance, support your team, and help deliver the quality products that have made Utz a trusted brand for generations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises 3 production lines within the Plant 5 Repack facility in its entirety as well as shipping, receiving and cardboard sorting operations.
  • Assists in the month end inventory counting.
  • Executes production demands in the most efficient manner while maintaining quality/safety standards.
  • Ensures production of quality product by ensuring all processing/packaging standards are upheld.
  • Integral to executing and monitoring tasks to maintain data integrity/accuracy in ERP data system.
  • Schedules personnel in an efficient manner in order to meet the daily production requirements.
  • Uses EAM to enter work orders and track preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Monitors and analyzes RedZone for fryer efficiencies, quality checks, and downtime.
  • Drives continuous improvement through standard work, 5S, and problem-solving to enhance operational performance.
  • Executes each cycle-end inventory counting with Finance Personnel.
  • Involved in all hiring, on-boarding, training and evaluation of his department.
  • Monitors and analyzes labor hours and crew size needed to efficiently run production lines.
  • Forklift, Hi-Reach and Chemical Certifications are mandatory.
  • Evaluates individual performance and trains personnel to ensure standards are met.
  • Responsible to follow safety rules and address unsafe equipment and practices.
  • Follows food safety practices and all applicable requirements of the SQF system.
  • Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements
  • Requires analytical, math and reading skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Email).
  • Requires leadership and management to direct the packaging departments and interface with other departments.
  • Interpersonal and supervisory skills necessary to lead others.
  • Knowledge of designated packaging and processing operations to assist when needed.
  • Moderate lifting and occasional skid pulling.
  • Knowledge of packaging machinery preferred.
  • Additional post high school education preferred, not require.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills required.
