Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label drug products under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry and filing associated with the process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to demonstrate proper aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
  • Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience in IV solution processing.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
