The Inventory Control Specialist at the Central Distribution Center (CDC) is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy across high-volume electrical distribution products, including wire and cable. This role ensures alignment between physical inventory and system records while supporting branch replenishment, jobsite deliveries, and operational efficiency.

What you'll do - 

  • Work closely with the inventory team to insure that cycle counts are done timely and within requirements. 
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and determine the root cause of such errors.
  • Analyst data to understand picking practices, and update automation minimums and maximum inventory levels to ensure efficient picking.
  • Research negative inventory trends and determine practices to reduce impact
  • Monitor and validate wire cutting, reel tracking, and remnant inventory
  • Audit inbound shipments and verify product quantities and specifications.
  • Support CDC-to-branch transfers and ensure order accuracy
  • Identify process improvements for inventory control and warehouse efficiencies. 
  • Ensure accuracy of reel quantities, footage balances, and cut tickets while reducing shrink and improving traceability of wire inventory.
  • Research and account for cut loss through reel validation, ERP (Eclipse research), SWMS RF transactions, and CCTV footage
  • Maintain Cut Loss KPIs measuring loss against master reel quantities, monthly commodity sales, and total footage cut/month

What you'll bring

  • 3-5+ years warehouse experience related to inventory control.
  • WMS/RF scanning proficiency.
  • Stong computer skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

This role is performed predominantly in a warehouse environment and requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.  You may be required to lift up to 50lbs.  The successful candidate will need successfully complete training to operate warehouse machinery (pallet jack, forklift, order picker, etc.)

Location - Cranbury, NJ
Schedule - Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm 
Rate - $60k annually, based on previous experience.
