Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains the inventory database and ensures daily inventory levels meet distribution and operational needs.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Entering data into inventory database about quantities of issued and transferred parts and inventory  
  • Resolving Inventory shortage discrepancies 
  • Receiving manufactured parts into stock and issue out to upcoming jobs 
  • Consolidating manufactured parts to maximize shelf space 
  • Assisting in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency 
  • Identifying parts through the use of SAP and drawings 
  • Auditing locations for part and count for accuracy (i.e., work order and 3-Stage put away checks) 
  • Investigating missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders 
  • Monitoring and keeping an updated shortage list available for the Inventory Management team 
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of inventory control experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office
  • Accurate data entry skills

ADA Requirements:

  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Job Conditions: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
