Summary:
Under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Control Lead maintains all aspects of warehouse inventory control. Oversees inventory-related activities and projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to inventory associates to achieve company standards and customer requirements.

Shift: 12PM start time Wednesday - Saturday

Essential Functions:
  • Lead and coordinate daily inventory operations to ensure product accuracy and accountability.
  • Train and mentor associates in equipment operation, safety procedures, and inventory processes.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Assign, schedule, and monitor the performance of inventory staff to maximize productivity.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and analyze errors.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory issues including lost, damaged, or miscounted product.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits including cycle counts, full physical inventories, and customer-specific counts.
  • Document and communicate count results, discrepancies, and corrective actions to management and customers as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling and resolving discrepant inventory.
  • Review and update product master data, maintaining system integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and leadership to maintain optimal inventory levels and accuracy.
  • Analyze data and recommend improvements to inventory layout, processes, and systems.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on inventory accuracy, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inventory inquiries and claims; recommend approval or denial of claims as appropriate.
  • Identify problem areas and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
Qualifications amp; Experience:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including 2+ years in inventory control.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with AS400 and RF technology preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Forklift certification and CPR/First Aid training are a plus.
  • Demonstrated servant leadership with the ability to coach, mentor, and be coached.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education amp; Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
