Job description

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel and our customers to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Spring House, PA

Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 6-8am - 3:30pm (flexible start time) 8 hours -30 min lunch break)

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $23.50

In this role, you will:

  • Manage inventory control, stock movement, cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reporting.

  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and ensure accurate inventory records.

  • Process inventory requests and coordinate on-site and off-site inventory movements.

  • Provide customer service support, including order entry, reporting, metrics tracking, and issue resolution.

  • Perform purchasing activities such as backorder management, expediting, quote management, invoice reconciliation, and vendor coordination.

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including shipment processing, documentation, and package delivery.

  • Handle hazardous materials and ensure compliance with shipping and packaging requirements.

  • Manage consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and third-party inventory.

  • Interface with customers, suppliers, purchasing teams, facility leaders, and plant managers.

  • Utilize SAP, Citrix, ChemSW, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, and other customer-specific systems.

  • Maintain documentation, records, SOPs, and support change management initiatives.

  • Collaborate with sales teams and manufacturer representatives to support business operations.

  • Drive process improvements and develop programs that enhance service efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
