The Alloy/Revert Coordinator is responsible for managing and controlling metallic revert materials generated throughout the manufacturing process

This role ensures proper collection, segregation, tracking, storage, and reintroduction of scrap and reusable metal into production while maintaining quality, safety, and inventory accuracy standards. The coordinator works closely with production, quality, and purchasing to optimize material recovery and reduce waste. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate collection and handling of revert materials (scrap metal).

Ensure proper segregation of alloys and metal grades to prevent contamination. Monitor inventory levels of alloy/revert materials and maintain accurate records in ERP or inventory systems. Schedule movement of revert materials between departments, outside suppliers, and melt house.

Collaborate with melt shop and production teams to ensure correct material usage and charge makeup. Inspect revert material for cleanliness, quality, and compliance with production standards. Work with Quality Assurance to resolve material discrepancies or contamination issues.

Assist in tracking scrap generation trends and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste. Assist in cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities. Responsible for maintaining alloy & revert process flow & work instructions.

Daily communication with operators and management teams. Issue purchase orders for alloy and revert related items. Responsible for direct report who handles day to day material movement and auditing.

SAFETY Responsible for the completion of Accident Investigation forms in areas of responsibility Responsible for implementation of safety countermeasures and doing root cause analysis to determine appropriate safety changes that are needed to improve plant safety. Responsible to adhere to all site safety policies and procedures Coach and model safe behaviors, respect for environment and 6S behaviors. Champion safety practices at the site.

QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred. 2+ years of manufacturing, foundry, steel mill, aluminum, or metal processing experience preferred. 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing setting.

Knowledge of metal alloys, scrap segregation, and material handling processes. Experience with forklifts, cranes, or industrial material handling equipment. Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory tracking.

Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Working Environment: Combination of office setting and shop floor.

Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 20lbs, extended periods of time using a computer screen & keyboard. Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and industrial manufacturing environment. Travel Requirements: up to 10% Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
