Job Type: W2 Contract (through November, likely to be extended based on client's needs) | NO C2C | NO CORP TO CORP
Expected Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Must be available to work a rotating late shift approximately once per month (10:00 AM-6:30 PM). 100% onsite in Joliet, IL.
Pay Range: $23.00 per hour
Job Description:
Seeking an Inventory Control Associate to support a large Parts Distribution Center in Joliet, IL. This position combines office and warehouse responsibilities and is ideal for candidates with strong inventory control experience and exposure to Warehouse Management Systems, particularly Manhattan WMS.
Responsibilities include assisting with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, discrepancy investigations, and maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse. The role will also support shipment verification, dealer returns, shipped-in-error claims, and inventory shortage resolution. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and collaborating across multiple teams to ensure inventory integrity and operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations experience or Associate's degree and at least 1 year of materials management experience.
  • Experience with Manhattan WMS or other Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation
  • Strong Microsoft Office and data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (this job will be physical)
  • Comfortable working at heights and being trained to operate a Cherry Picker
