Position Overview:

The Inventory Control department is responsible for the integrity and maintenance of all goods in the distribution center.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling goods received and delivered on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Cycle Counting of merchandise and goods in the warehouse.
  • Processing of damaged goods and merchandise.
  • Assigning primary locations for goods and merchandise for product placement.
  • Assist production planning team with next day’s product and merchandise flow.
  • Break primary locations daily to assist with next day’s inbound production.
  • Research SKUs to assist accounting department with weekly bill payment.
  • Create daily projects for letdown/put away team.
  • Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with any projects that develop to assist in daily production.
  • Billing/crediting stores for goods.
  • Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be accurate with attention to detail.
  • Good communication with all team members.
  • Ability to communicate with other departments, supervisors, other distribution center, and support center staff professionally.
  • Must be able to work as a team with emphasis on individual goals.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and AS400.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done), including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to set for extended period of time at a desk.
  • Ability to work on computer for extended period of time.
  • Ability to bend and twist frequently.
  • Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
  • Must have ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
