Inventory Control SpecialistPay: $20.00–$23.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Join Our Team!
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and someone who takes pride in keeping things accurate and running smoothly?
We’re looking for a dependable Inventory Control Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in making sure the right materials are available when production needs them while helping maintain accurate inventory records throughout the facility.
This is a great opportunity for someone with inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience who enjoys staying organized, solving problems, and working closely with different departments.
What You’ll Do
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll help manage the flow and accuracy of raw materials, hardware, and finished parts used in our sheet metal fabrication operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw sheet metal, including steel, aluminum, copper, coils, and sheets
  • Track hardware, components, and finished parts to support production schedules
  • Perform daily and weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and audits
  • Compare physical inventory with ERP/MRP records and investigate discrepancies
  • Research material variances, scrap discrepancies, and transaction errors
  • Help identify the cause of inventory issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them
  • Inspect incoming metal shipments for correct material type, gauge, dimensions, quantity, and overall condition
  • Issue materials to production based on job orders and manufacturing requirements
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation
  • Work closely with Project Management, Purchasing, Production, and shop-floor supervisors to ensure materials are available for active jobs
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and safe inventory and warehouse environment
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–4 years of inventory control, warehouse, or related experience
  • Manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management software
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of metal types, gauges, and dimensions
  • Ability to read basic part drawings, job travelers, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments
  • Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds as required
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials throughout the workday
Who Will Thrive in This Role?
You’ll be a great fit if you’re someone who notices when something doesn’t add up and takes the initiative to find out why. You enjoy keeping things organized, maintaining accurate records, and making sure production teams have the materials they need to do their jobs successfully.
If you have inventory or warehouse experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow your skills in a manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today!
