Description:

Objective: Warehouse Support will work under the Warehouse Manager to provide support in the picking and packing of all products that need to be shipped or delivered to BVS customers and locations. This position is also responsible for checking and maintaining accurate inventory. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with internal and external customers and works to establish a positive rapport with others.


Responsibilities include:

  • Follow safety rules, work policies and procedures per training/instructions, complying with legal regulations including OSHA, DOT, USDA, FDA, EPA.
  • Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Assist other warehouse team members in shipping and receiving, delivering customer’s orders and inventory transfers.
  • Assist and backup the needs of liquid production in filling, packing, labeling, and quality control.
  • Assist with monthly inventory control counts.
  • Ensure accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments and the ability to address discrepancies.
  • Maintains weekly cleaning schedule and safety/security compliance checklist to ensure a safe, secure, and clean working environment.
  • Communicate in an efficient and effective manner with all team members.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales, Warehousing and Transportation teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries of customer orders.
  • Be responsible, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining highest standards of quality.
  • Provide accurate and timely receipts of products and notify Warehouse Manager and Purchasing department of discrepancies.
  • Assists in responding to customer inquiries or transferring customers to appropriate personnel.
  • Interacts with customers via telephone or in person to provide support and information on BVS products and order status.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of customer sales records and internal product transfers.
  • Enter orders in the system for customers that inquire via telephone or in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of the business BVS warehouse employees must consent to and have the ability to pass a pre-employment and annual drug test and extensive federal level background check.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in warehouse, production, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Previous experience operating forklift and/or pallet jacks preferred.
  • Ability to work scheduled shift as assigned.
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and wear provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures.
  • Proficient organizational skills.
  • Self-motivator and self-starter.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and effectively work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as part of the team.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer concerns.
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and initiative.
  • Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect customer and employee safety.
  • Effective reading, math, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to work on foot for extended periods of time – up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
